Winter at St Benet's Mill, NorfolkI'm pleased to say this image has been commended in the prestigious Landscape Photographer of the Year competition (Classic View), and will appear in the awards book (Landscape Photographer of the Year Collection 8, published by AA) and free exhibition at London Waterloo station, running from 1st December 2014 to 31st January 2015. All winning and commended photographs will be on display on the mezzanine level of the busiest station in Britain, and be shown on a large screen which spans the station from platforms 7 to 11. I'm already looking forward to next year's competition. I think my images have improved a lot in the last year and I hope to have more photos in the running for the £10,000 prize. Congratulations, a great image and a great achievement. Not sure if you'll remember but I met you at How Hill a day or two after you took this image. I remembered your name when I saw it among the winners in this years LPOTY. You got some fantastic images from your recent trips to the Peak District and Lake District too.

Thanks Jon. I remember meeting two photographers at How Hill, there was an amazingly colourful sunset one day and the next time it was a very foggy afternoon - which day did I see you and did you get anything from there?

It was the foggy day that I met you at How Hill. I didn't get anything decent that day, but got some half decent images a few days before and after - I went there for the sunset 5 times that week.

It was nice to meet you that time Jon, there were a couple of stunning sunsets that week. If you're on Flickr I'll add you there.

Unfortunately I'm not on Flickr. I hope to set up a website in March and will include a couple of images taken that week, plus a whole lot of others!
